1. Your agreement with us
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and John Teasdale (“John Teasdale,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the portions of the John Teasdale Appverse provided by or on behalf of John Teasdale. They govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, APIs, messages, experiments, and related services listed in Section 2 when you accept these Terms through Appverse Identity or when a Service presents, links to, or otherwise incorporates them (collectively, the “Services”).
By selecting “Continue,” creating an account, submitting information, or otherwise using a Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
A Service may be offered for or with another organization and may present supplemental terms, notices, consents, or rules that identify another operator, employer, clinician, or controller. Those supplemental terms also apply to that Service. If they conflict with these Terms, the more specific supplemental terms control for that Service.
2. Services covered
The Appverse includes the following current products and any successor, preview, media, API, or supporting endpoint that links to these Terms:
- JohnTeasdale.com, including professional information, contact, functional-health, and AI-assisted health-coaching experiences.

johnteasdale.comapplications. - Chat, a real-time audio and video room; Reveal, a short-lived group question-and-answer experience; and Sidekick, an AI assistant available through supported messaging and email channels.
- Cohealer, clinical decision-support software; and Trace/Track, a personal log for symptoms, food, water, and related analysis.

Some Services are private, limited-access, experimental, or not generally available. Listing a Service here does not promise that it will remain available or that you are eligible to use it.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the general-audience Services. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract to use dating, employment or staffing, clinical-record, paid, or other adult-oriented Services. A Service may impose a higher minimum age.
You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity under your account, protecting your email account and credentials, and promptly telling us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Appverse Identity may establish a shared session for participating johnteasdale.com applications. Signing out through the identity service is intended to end the shared session, but you should also close shared devices and protect access to your email, messaging, Google, or Apple account.
4. Important rules for particular Services
Health, clinical, and fitness Services
Cohealer, Trace/Track, health-coaching pages, food-photo analysis, lab interpretation, and similar features are informational and organizational tools. They do not replace a physician or other qualified professional, do not create a clinician-patient relationship merely through software use, and are not emergency services. Outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Do not delay or disregard professional care because of a Service. Call emergency services when appropriate.
Dive provides theory and educational material, not in-water supervision or certification. Freediving is dangerous. Obtain appropriate instruction, use a trained buddy, follow recognized safety practices, and never rely on the Service as your only safety resource.
AI and automated features
Some Services use machine learning or generative AI to classify, summarize, draft, recommend, estimate, converse, or assist with workflows. AI output may be inaccurate, biased, outdated, unsafe, or unsuitable. You must review outputs before relying on or sending them. Do not use AI output as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, employment, eligibility, safety-critical, or other consequential decisions.
If you authorize an assistant to send a message, create an event, use a connected account, or take another action, you remain responsible for the instruction, recipients, content, and result.
Dating, profiles, and person-to-person interactions
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, messages, testimonials, and representations. We do not routinely verify identities, backgrounds, intentions, health, or statements made by users. Exercise independent judgment, protect financial and identifying information, meet safely, and report suspected abuse. We do not guarantee introductions, compatibility, replies, or any relationship outcome.
Hiring, staffing, and work
You must submit truthful application, credential, work-history, work-authorization, payroll, vaccination, and related information and may submit documents only when authorized to do so. Submitting an application, accepting proposed terms, or completing onboarding does not guarantee employment, placement, hours, compensation, or a particular decision. Authorized employers or staffing administrators may verify information and make decisions under their own policies and applicable law.
Communications and connected accounts
When you provide a phone number, email address, messaging identity, or connected account, you authorize the communications and actions you request, including transactional login codes, reminders, replies, or workflow messages. Carrier, data, and third-party platform charges may apply. You can stop optional messages through the controls offered by the relevant Service; for SMS, reply STOP where supported. Essential security or account messages may continue.
QR codes, redirects, and reverse lookup
You are responsible for QR content, redirect destinations, and your authority to look up or use information about a phone number. Do not create deceptive links, impersonate others, facilitate surveillance or harassment, violate consent requirements, or use lookup information to make an unlawful eligibility, credit, insurance, housing, employment, or similar decision.
5. Your content and shared information
Your Content includes text, prompts, answers, messages, profile information, images, audio, video, documents, links, feedback, and other material you submit or direct a Service to process. You retain your ownership rights in Your Content.
You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, display, transform, analyze, and otherwise use Your Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services, comply with your instructions, and meet legal obligations. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup, audit, legal, and security retention.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content and that our permitted processing will not violate another person’s rights or law.
We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, threatens people or systems, infringes rights, or creates legal or operational risk. We do not undertake to monitor every communication.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- break the law, violate another person’s rights, or evade a legal or contractual restriction;
- harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, stalk, dox, deceive, or impersonate anyone;
- submit malware, probe or disrupt systems, bypass access controls or rate limits, or obtain data or accounts without authorization;
- scrape, bulk-export, resell, or build a profile of people except through an expressly authorized feature and lawful purpose;
- send spam, unlawful automated messages, or content without required consent;
- upload illegal, infringing, intimate, exploitative, or nonconsensual content;
- use a Service or AI output to make fully automated consequential decisions about another person without lawful authority, appropriate safeguards, and meaningful human review; or
- reverse engineer or copy a Service except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
7. Third-party services
The Services may interoperate with Cloudflare, AI model providers, database and storage providers, Google, Apple, Twilio, Telegram, email providers, payment processors, analytics providers, public-record or phone-data providers, and other third parties. Their products, accounts, content, availability, and terms are controlled by them. We are not responsible for a third-party service, and enabling an integration authorizes the exchanges reasonably needed to perform your request.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.
8. Paid features
If a Service offers a purchase or subscription, the price, billing interval, cancellation terms, and any specific refund policy will be shown before purchase. You authorize the disclosed charges and taxes through the payment method you provide. Except where law or a specific offer requires otherwise, fees already earned are nonrefundable. We may change future pricing after giving any notice required by law.
9. Our property
The Services, including their software, design, branding, documentation, and non-user content, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Services as intended.
If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, but we are not required to do so.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
The Appverse includes evolving and experimental software. We may add, change, limit, pause, or discontinue a Service or feature. We will try to provide reasonable notice when a change materially harms an active paid Service, but urgent security, legal, or technical changes may be immediate.
You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request account or data deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay, or if a Service is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions—will survive.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, preservation of data, accuracy of content or AI output, successful communications, employment, health, safety, compatibility, or any particular outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, John Teasdale and the people assisting with the Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption, arising from or related to the Services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including where applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Governing law and disputes
California law governs these Terms and disputes arising from them, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, you and we agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally by emailing a written description to jpteasdale@gmail.com and allowing 30 days for a response. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a small-claims process where eligible.
Nothing here requires arbitration or waives a right to participate in a class action.
14. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them with a Service or our rights in it. These Terms and applicable supplemental terms are the entire agreement about the Services.
We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and provide additional notice when required. Changes apply prospectively when posted or on the stated effective date. Continuing to use a Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to John Teasdale at jpteasdale@gmail.com.
